Rhyl High School stepped in recently to help out a group of French visitors from the South of France. The pupils all aged 13/14 had been staying in Rhyl and were supposed to go and visit a school in Bangor on Friday morning, but they were told they could not visit as the French teacher was off sick. Rhyl High stepped into the breach at the last minute and the 49 pupils toured around the school in 5 different groups, going into lessons and chatting to staff and pupils. The French pupils and teachers were impressed by the size of the school, the range of options on offer and the sports and drama facilities. They are now looking to come back in July with another group to spend the day at the school.
